Invites are the other hellish issue for people wanting to host events on Jaiku. Since the Google take over, open registration has been, rather discouragingly, closed. Theres a site here with more info: http://jaikuinvites.com/ Anyone about know if arranging bulk invites is possible? There's a features wishlist channel - mine is pretty simple: re-open registration.

Me too - I love channels over here. I used Twitter at the edublog awards this year because a lot of the community were already active over there, plus the Second Life hosts were already familiar with the twitter bridges. Jaiku was my first choice.

That's a shame - I aggregate updates over here to feed into my work blog - it's one of the things I find really handy. I guess I could just make a separate feed for everything but it's one of the main reasons I came over here in the first place :( & everyones lovely company too, of course ;)

Wow. That was the longest thread I've been bothered to read in quite a while. I was away at Twitter pretending not to care, but my nose started bleeding. I would like to see signups publicly reopened. Everything else can wait as far as I'm concerned - what would be good is a strong message that yr open fr business + ease of access for the casually curious. Reel em in guys!
